Principals will ensure that the school has processes and systems in place for budgeting, staffing, problem-solving, communicating expectations and scheduling that result in organizing the work routines in the building. The principal must be responsible for the monitoring of the school budget and the inclusion of all teachers in the budget decision so as to meet the 21st century needs of every classroom. Effectively and efficiently managing the complexity of every day life is critical for staff to be able to focus its energy on improvement.

During my principal residency I was provided the opportunity during a course to develop a "proposed budget" plan on a school and decide how I would distribute the funds based upon School Improvement Team Plan and school collected data.

During My principal residency a behavior plan for PBIS was created to ensure teachers understood the process they should refer to when handling student behavior and crisis. I was also given the responsibility to maintaining and developing the CERT Plan.

During my principal I drafted a welcome letter to the teachers, parents, and students welcoming me to the school. I was also responsible for drafting consistent correspondence to parents about school wide events.

During my principal residency I had opportunities to interact with staff and students. I delivered correspondences that reinforced procedures and systems supported by the school.

During my principal residency I was appointed to Fayetteville Street Elementary to serve as assistant principal. Upon arrival I reviewed the newly appointed spring staff members of rules and expectations from the handbook.

Staff received the handbook at the beginning of the year. The handbook is also shared on the Google Drive with all other needed information and forms for staff to easily access. |
